Saturdays are ok in the House Of Hosky - the little guy has swimming and all our activities are centered around that.
Sundays are a different story....if we dont have anything on, we NEED to get out of the house for 2 reasons - take the kids mind off fighting each other AND the feeling that I have actually done something other than just getting a good nights sleep (I dont get much during the week)
Today, somehow, we planned a trip on a train (or 2) ended up at Belair (in the Adelaide Hills). It was going well, until it started raining....and dribbling, and raining.... probably stopped me walking the kids too far, then not being able to get them to walk back to the train anyway...
The first thing we heard when we got off the train was a kookaburra, then there was some amazing gum tree sap, horse poo, that freshly rained on bush smell, lake with ducks, then an emu joined our bush-walk just to top things off.

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend with your kids, Kim. Keeping them entertained wouldn't be an easy task :)
Yeah we did have a fair bit of rain this afternoon, and still is . We need it of course :)
I could have imagined it would have been a bit of a 'dampener' on your day tho at Belair National Park;-)
It's lovely there isn't it, and seeing all the wildlife. Emus are funny things arn't they ;-)
We went for a drive with the dogs to Lobethal Market (I will do a blog post about that place during the week) :)
Well there goes another weekend, it's almost over ! :)
Looks like you had fun. We love the Adelaide Hills, been there a couple of times. (Big rocking Horse) and in the vineyards. Judging by your picture, it is still very dry down there. You do need rain.
Yes we needed the rain, but maybe AFTER our bushwalk - as we didnt have the 'luxury' of hiding in the car - it could have easily turned into a really bad wet day out - didnt even take a brolly!
It sure was great to finally get some rain though....It had to be a weekend where I had loads of washing...It`s still on the line...
It does look dry there, but a great weekend adventure anyway. Hope you got some decent downpours AFTER your walk.
